Exceptional antique giant clam shell from a private collection. Due to the size, weight, layers upon layers, fossilising and pure thickness there is no issue in dating this piece to the 19th Century, it may even be earlier, but that is impossible to say. The natural colouring is truly exceptional in blue and grey tones, making this really a one of a kind piece. This amazing shell came from a private collection where there was three shells, as shown In the picture, I believe all three have been together for a lifetime as the rare colouring is consistent in all three.
