19th Century French mirror, it is unusual to find a mirror of this size that can be hung portrait or landscape. The antique mirror plate is lightly foxed. There is no backplate to this mirror, it is held in place at the back. Traces of the original silver gilt and paint. The hook on the top allows it to be hung portrait, this could easily be removed should you want to hang it landscape.
