I fell in love with this piece in Italy on a recent buying trip. Original soft gilding, the coffee table base is 19th Century and the fabric is probably 17th / 18th Century, they have been put together at some point. Structurally sound. There seems to be a couple of small spots of clear glue on the top of the glass, I haven’t tried to remove it, you can hardly see it, I’m guessing it was spilt and hardened on the glass, nothing that detracts, a wonderful piece.
