Rare C1860 child’s kilt outfit, made by the famous Tarn & Co London. This tiny little suit is exquisite. The detail on the jacket is exceptional. This was certainly made for a very special child. The condition is excellent for a child’s suit of this period. The set includes the jacket, waistcoat, kilt, hat, and a large piece of the same fabric as the kilt that may of been intended to be draped over the shoulder. All the original metal buttons are stamped and still in place. The original black buttons around the waist are still present with the exception of one. All of the beautiful rosettes on the kilt are still present.
The waist on the kilt is 11″ wide x 14″ high, the little jacket is 10″ wide x 15.5″ high.
