Two pretty antique French Paris sweet / chocolate christening boxes. The sweets have long gone !. One is dated 1903. It was traditional in France that the godfather and godmother offered to the family members and friends some drages at the time of the christening, you have a name on each box, Jacques for one and Jean for the other. Jean’s godfather and godmothers names are on one card found inside the boxes. The family name seems to indicate that they were wealthy families. They are rather charming. Sold and priced together.
