Antique French pair of Napoleon III chairs, dated 1884. Once we stripped these chairs down to the base calico we found some rather lovely Provenance written on the back of one of the chairs in French referring that they was refurnished (upholstered) buy an ancient war prisoner on the 1st December 1948 and his name, just charming. 21.5″ deep in the seat.
