A pretty antique French tapestry, soft colour tones. The label reads – This tapestry, coming from Mrs Gisquet, needs to be given back to Mr Marcel Bertrand. The tapestry was in deposition with me, Paulette Tavernia, 1950.
Paulette was most likely the antique dealer or auction house that was asked to sell the piece. It is hard to date the tapestry but I would say it is early 20th Century. It comes with the pole. A nice size that would work perfectly in any setting. Small amount of age related wear, (seen near the hanging hooks) nothing that detracts, clean.
