This chair is one of a pair, we had to strip it down without the original horsehair in the back, it has been priced accordingly to cover the extra padding. The other one of the pair is shown in the last picture and is listed for sale separately @ £585. This chair could be upholstered with a button back or a plain back. The difference currently of one inch in height to the other chair is just because it does not have the padding yet.
