Beautiful 18th Century Country House oil on canvas portrait. The frame has exceptional detail, gilded wood from the same period. The lady is possibly the Countess of Colbert, but this has not been confirmed. A truly wonderful striking piece of art. There may of been light restoration to the painting over the years, I am not an expert on art I just found her very charming.
