A rare c1780 period antique Gustavian mirror, Jonkopings seal, original paint, mercury glass split plate mirror. Split plate mirrors were used in the 18th Century due to heavy VAT import charges on mirror plates according to their size, 2 pieces obviously kept this cost down and adds to the charm of this period mirror. The plate is clear and has a blue tone to it typically found around this time.
