I do not even know where to begin with this beautiful 19th Century carousel horse, she is from my own private collection. All the paint is original, I have never seen a carousel horse still on the original rocker before, I have actually ridden her myself !! There is a fantastic clicking noise from mechanism as you rock backwards and forwards. The stirrups on both sides are all original. I believe she could be by the maker Heyn (French) and will date around 1890. The wooden base that she stands on has been replaced as her original iron rocker would of been screwed into the floor of the carousel. The colours are just perfect. Her eyes are glass and original. Her tail is real horsehair.
Base measurements: 54.5″ long, 24″ deep, 3″ high
