Exceptional antique French 19th Century lion, he still roars when the rod under his neck is pulled. I have never seem one of this size and scale before, let alone a lion, I think it is likely that his mouth opened as well, but this does not work now. He is the most charming piece. Age related wear etc, all to be expected and nothing that detracts.
